City of Liverpool FC are delighted to announce the signing of Arthur Lomax-Jones from Bury FC.

The 20-year-old spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Bootle from Tranmere Rovers, before joining the Bucks permanently in the summer of 2023 following his departure from Prenton Park.
Lomax-Jones made 5 appearances during a month-long loan spell at Widnes, which was cut short when Bury signed him from the Bucks for an undisclosed fee in January 2024.
He departed the Gigg Lane outfit at the end of the 2023-24 campaign, and now becomes Paul McNally’s second signing of the summer following the arrival of Mikey Howard from Warrington Town.

Arthur’s football career began at Tranmere Rovers before a move to Wigan Athletic, where he remained up until the Under 18 age group when he rejoined Rovers.
Lomax-Jones made his professional debut for Tranmere during an EFL Cup tie against Bolton Wanderers in September 2022, featuring alongside former Purps forward Elliott Nevitt.

A versatile performer, Lomax-Jones made his first Purps appearance at left back during a friendly against Italian side ASD Altivolesemaser recently, but can also operate in midfield or as a winger.
Paul McNally is enthused about working with a player of such talent, explaining, “Arthur is a player who is very versatile, with great experience for his young age”.
“We are looking forward to working with him and are excited to watch his talent develop at City of Liverpool FC”.Â
Welcome to the Purps, Arthur Lomax-Jones!
