City of Liverpool FC are delighted to announce that forward Mitch Bryant has signed for the forthcoming 2021-22 season.

Bryant signed for the Purps from Bury AFC in October 2020 and was instantly a fan favourite with his all action displays and tireless work rate.

The striker was a key figure during our FA Trophy run, scoring in a man of the match display on his debut in our 3-0 win at Atherton Collieries, and shining in the next round as the Purps beat Buxton 2-1.

Mitch also netted in an impressive team performance as Michael Ellison’s side dismantled Pontefract Collieries in the penultimate game before football ended for the season.

Manager Michael Ellison is pleased to confirm Bryant’s signature, “I’m delighted to have Mitch on board.”

“He’s a player I know really well and what he can bring to the side It was one of the easy conversations I’ve had, he knows what we’re trying to do here and is keen to be a part of it.”

“I know he’s become a bit of a fans favourite already, there is plenty more to come trust me.”

Bryant was equally as enthusiastic about re-signing, explaining, “I’m delighted to be re-signing for the club this coming season. Obviously I know Ello and Crossy and what they demand and they know what they are getting from me.”

“I’m looking forward to getting back playing with the lads and building on the positive performances we had prior to the season coming to an end. We’ll set high targets as a group this year and I intend to play a big part in that.”

“Let’s get the fans back in and start enjoying our football again!”
